Coasting Drones

For over 100 years there have been groups trying to keep beach goers safe. Last year 294 people drowned in Australia with 66 occurring at a beach.

The Geelong environment is surrounded by beaches and waterways. Life Saving Victoria is highly invested in water safety through building awareness and knowledge. Students will be exposed to the power of drone technology. They will learn about the laws and ethics that must be considered, how to analyse available data and how to target a campaign to meet the needs of a particular demographic.
