Partner school creates winning design

Regional students from one of our partnering schools in the Remote and Virtual program recently took home the major prize.

The brilliant minds of Goroke P-12 College unleashed their creativity, designing, printing, and entering their race-cars in Quantum Victoria’s Print-A-Car state final. Their innovation and determination soared above the competition, propelling them to victory as they clinched the major prize.

Throughout 2023, Geelong Tech School facilitator Brenton Logan conducted Remote and Virtual classes for Goroke P-12 College students and assisted with the transition from utilising Tinkercad to embracing Fusion360.  This shift was supported by sharing equipment and knowledge, marking a significant advancement for the school.

“After participating in the CAD 3D printing program I feel that all students improved their competencies in 3D design, print and overall concept development.”
– Louise Hobbs, Goroke P-12 College.

The Remote and Virtual program also collaborated with the following schools outside of Geelong’s LGA: Kaniva College, Balmoral P-12 Community College, Lorne Secondary College, Colac Secondary College, Portland Secondary College, Casterton Secondary College and Bannockburn P-12 College.
