Seeking enthusiastic and eager students in the Geelong region to participate in a 4-day design sprint.

If you are interested in all things STEM, emerging technologies, solving real-world problems, and working closely with experts in Industries around Geelong, we are looking for you to join us at the Tech School!

 

Quick Details

When: Monday 17th – Thursday 20th June 2024
Where: Geelong Tech School
What: 4x full days of collaborating, ideating, and prototyping designs to help address challenges presented by local industries.
Time: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

 

To be eligible

  • You must be in Year 9-10 at a school in the Geelong region
  • Nominated by a teacher from your school
  • Parental/guardian consent to attend the event
  • Have your own transport to and from the Tech School
  • Willingness to learn new things and try your best

If there is a situation or incident which requires first aid to be administered to your child, school staff will administer first aid that is reasonably necessary and appropriate to their level of training. School staff, including Geelong Tech School staff, will also seek emergency medical attention for your child if it is considered reasonably necessary.In the event that your child needs medical attention during their time at Geelong Tech School, staff will contact you as soon as practically possible.

  • I agree to commit to the event dates as listed above.
  • I agree to adhere to The Gordon Student Code of Conduct and commit to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for my peers and teachers.
  • I give permission for my child to attend the Geelong Tech School for the aforementioned event. I understand that my child will adhere to the dress code, and behave in alignment with their school's code of conduct. I agree to meet any medical expenses and/or transport costs incurred in the event of sickness or injury. I agree to meet any transport costs should my child be sent home as a result of misbehaviour or inappropriate conduct. I authorise the Geelong Tech School to contact my child via email regarding ongoing program information, or in the event of a cancellation.
  • I grant the Geelong Tech School – hosted by The Gordon – my permission to use, copyright and publish all photographs and/or footage taken of me for the purpose of promoting, marketing or publicising Geelong Tech School, typically in the form of social media. I also grant The Gordon my permission to use and publish my name and all testimonials given by me for the purpose of promoting, marketing or publicising the Geelong Tech School. I waive the right to inspect or approve versions of the photographs and/or footage and/or testimonials used for publication by The Gordon. I release The Gordon (and its officers, employees, agents, students and contractors) from any liability for any loss, injury or damage suffered in relation to the use of my photographs, footage, name and/or testimonials, including but not limited to any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy or infringement of copyright.
