The first of two exciting Geelong Design Week events kicked off last night at the Geelong Tech School with our ‘Young Minds, Emerging Technology, Future Focused’ event.
We welcomed local Geelong secondary school students, parents, teachers, industry, and the community guests to tour our amazing hub and hear students showcasing their design solutions.
With a selection of our tech-taster and core programs on display, guests were treated to a truly immersive experience including 360° projections, virtual reality experiences, and live motion capture demonstrations.
Students from Oberon High School, Lara Secondary College, Sacred Heart College, Newcomb Secondary College, Matthew Flinders Girls College, Geelong Baptist College, and North Geelong Secondary College impressed both their parents, industry guests, and also members of the local community, whilst showing off their creative design ideas as possible solutions to contemporary issues.
Geelong Tech School’s Paul D’Orio – Manager STEM Programs said, “It was great to see so many excited students, having the opportunity to show off their amazing skills & achievements in front of their parents.”
