Each year the Geelong Tech School invites year 8-9 students from local secondary schools to apply for the Ambassador Program.
Geelong Tech School Ambassadors will have access to trial new projects and engage with the latest technologies.
Ambassador projects will involve critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and communication, to address real-world challenges. Design thinking, student agency, and leadership development are integral elements throughout the Ambassador program.
To be eligible students must gain parental consent, and make a commitment to attend all workshops and events. Transportation to and from the Tech School needs to be independently organised.
The program requires commitment from Ambassadors to attend all of the following:
Term 1
3-day Industry Design Sprint.
Dates: Wed 28th-Thur 30th March
Term 2
Weekly after-school workshops
Dates: Every Wednesday night from 4pm-5.30pm (3rd May to 14 June)
Term 3
Weekly after-school workshops
Dates: Every Wednesday night from 4pm-5.30pm (19th July to 6th Sept)
Term 4
3-day Industry Design Sprint.
Dates: Wed 24th-Thur 26th Oct
