Renewable & Clean Energy Training Hub

Construction is now underway on the Renewable & Clean Energy Training Hub (RCETH) at The Gordon’s East Campus.

An extension of the Geelong Tech School, the RCETH has been jointly funded by The Gordon and the Department of Education’s Clean Energy Equipment Fund. Designed by Sibling Architecture, the refurbishment is being delivered by Pirotta Services Commercial, and is expected to be completed in May.

Once complete, the Hub will place Geelong Tech School at the forefront of preparing young people in Western Victoria for future careers in clean energy. Through hands‑on, real‑world programs, secondary students will engage in industry‑led projects that integrate emerging clean energy technologies with their school curriculum.

Geelong Tech School Director, Paul D’Orio, said the Hub would unlock new opportunities for local young people. “This facility is incredibly exciting for Geelong. It gives secondary students access to emerging clean energy technologies and real pathways that connect what they’re learning at school with future careers. This Hub will open doors for young people and help them see themselves as part of the clean energy workforce of the future.”

The Hub will strengthen school‑to‑work pathways by linking Tech School experiences with vocational training and clear post‑school options across renewable energy and related industries, supporting students to transition into meaningful careers in a sustainable economy.
