Highlights included a keynote from Inspired Education Australia’s Rashan Senanayake, who explored how organisations can embrace AI while keeping people at the centre of learning and decision-making. Participants also took part in hands-on sessions covering tools such as Microsoft Copilot and NotebookLM, along with discussions around assessment, personalised learning and future workforce skills.
Industry-focused workshops examined how businesses are using AI to improve productivity, automate workflows and drive innovation. Sessions explored topics including prompt engineering, AI governance, digital marketing and the growing role of AI agents in modern workplaces. Presenters from Microsoft, The Gordon, Kenstra, AI Wise and Arthur Street Digital shared practical examples of how organisations can generate value from AI while maintaining strong security and governance practices.
By bringing together expertise from education, industry and technology, the Geelong AI Symposium provided participants with valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges of AI, while highlighting the importance of building the skills and confidence needed to succeed in an increasingly AI-enabled future.
