Turn plastic waste into something amazing!

Looking for something different these September school holidays? Join us for a hands-on sustainability adventure where you’ll transform unwanted plastic into brand-new creations!

Get involved as you clean, sort, and shred discarded plastics, then use specialised equipment to turn them into exciting new products. It’s part science, part engineering, part creativity, and all about making a real difference for the environment.

Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, love making things, or want to try something completely different, this is your chance to see the circular economy in action.

Sessions are running on Tuesday 29th September, with a choice of a morning or afternoon workshops.

Places are limited, so grab your spot before they’re gone!

FAQs

Teaching staff from the Geelong Tech School will be running each session and will have duty of care for your child during the session times.

It is the parent/carer's responsibility to get their child to and from the Geelong Tech School 'Clean Energy Training Hub' before and after the session.

Nothing.

All materials, equipment and PPE will be provided by the Geelong Tech School.

All participants should come dressed in comfortable clothes.

The Clean Energy Training Hub is located at The Gordon East Campus (Google Map).

The easiest way to access it is via the St Albans Rd entrance of the campus. Park your car and then head to the wind turbine using the map below.

School staff, including Geelong Tech School staff, will also seek emergency medical attention for your child if it is considered reasonably necessary. In the event that your child needs medical attention during their time at Geelong Tech School, staff will contact you as soon as practically possible.
