In this dynamic two-day program, students will visit the Tech School to address a challenge faced by a local business or industry.
Working in teams, they will creatively utilise everyday objects to develop a prototype solution. The fast-paced environment fosters collaboration, efficiency, and quick problem-solving skills.
Partner School Teachers will need to register their own teams of five students for this event and are expected to attend alongside their students.

Team Submission
Teachers are required to submit teams for the event.
Each team consists of five students.
Participation Requirements
Students must be in Year 7 or 8 from our partner schools.
Students should be enthusiastic and eager to engage in hands-on design and prototyping activities.
Teams will work closely with Geelong Tech School staff and industry representatives.
Event Structure
Day 1: Introduction to design thinking and initial brainstorming sessions.
Day 2: Prototyping, feedback sessions, and final showcase.
Logistics
Geelong Tech School will provide transport for all schools bringing three or more teams to the event.
Students are to bring their own food/lunch each day.
Safety and Supervision
Teachers are expected to accompany and supervise their teams throughout the event.
