The Smart City Office will host an interactive workshop to develop understanding and utilisation of ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) technology across our City. The popularity of IoT has increased in recent years, across sectors and industries. We want the Geelong community to harness the opportunities this clever technology provides.
We’ll encourage participants to think about the types of data they wish to collect, allowing them to make better decisions, deliver a better service, or solve an ongoing problem. A support package will be provided including guidance on how to utilise Geelong’s free IoT network- The Things Network Geelong.
All welcome, particularly those with an interest in data, systems, design, agtech or environmental monitoring. Basic coding knowledge may be helpful but not necessary. All equipment is provided.
