The Clean Economy sector encompasses a wide array of industries including renewable energy, circular economy, waste management and eco-conscious manufacturing.
To meet the ambitious targets set by the Victorian Governments many new workers are going to be needed.
By participating in the Clean Economy Program students will gain a deep understanding of the careers available and the critical role these industries play in delivering a sustainable future. Students will gain an understanding of the pathways into these exciting new jobs that will contribute to a healthier planet.
2026 Program Dates
This program runs over four days (with an additional two evenings for the launch and graduation).
Launch: Thursday March 19th
Day 1: Thursday May 7th
Day 2: Tuesday July 21st
Day 3: Tuesday September 8th
Day 4: Thursday October 15th
Graduation: Thursday November 12th
Participant Requirements
- Students must be in years 9, 10, or 11 to apply.
- Students must first get permission from both their Parent/Guardian and their school Careers Teacher before applying.
- Students must commit to attending all days of the program.
Important Information
- There is a limited number of places available, and early registrations will take priority.
- Students will need to make their own transport arrangements to and from The Gordon each day. We will organise transportation to and from the industry visits.
- Each day will start at 9am and finish at 3pm.
- The Geelong Manufacturing Council will take on the duty-of-care of all participants during the program.
