2021 Ambassador Applications Now Open

Applications can now be submitted for participation in the 2021 Ambassador Program.

Each year the Geelong Tech School invites Year 8 and 9 students from local secondary schools to apply for the Ambassador Program. Throughout the year, these Ambassadors will take part in fortnightly afterschool workshops, as well as participate in at least one event per term.

The program requires commitment from Ambassadors to attend Geelong Tech School to participate in:

• Fortnightly Thursday workshops (4pm to 5:30pm)
  Beginning March 4^th
• One of the Geelong Design Week events (5:30pm – 7:30pm)
  Week 9, Term 1 – Tuesday 23rd or Thursday 25th March
• One day of the Deakin STEM Education Conference (9am – 3pm)
  Week 10, Term 2 – Monday 21st or Tuesday 22nd June
• The Digital Innovation Festival (9am – 3pm)
  Week 8, Term 3 – Tuesday 31^st August
• One day of the Tech Design Expo (9am – 3pm)
  Week 9 & 10, Term 4 – from Wednesday 1^st to Friday 10^th December

To be eligible students must have parental consent, and make a commitment to attend all workshops and events.

2020 Ambassadors

Presentation of certificates and special recognition for students who were actively engaged in the 2020 Ambassador Program will take place on Tuesday 23rd March as part of the Young Minds, Emerging Technologies, Future Focus event for Geelong Design Week at the Geelong Tech School.
